Caliche Atelier is an architecture and interior studio in Austin. We design homes and small workplaces, from the first site walk to the last door handle.
Caliche is the pale limestone under Central Texas. We build on it, with it, and around it: deep overhangs for the August sun, rooms that open to the evening breeze, and interiors finished by the same hands that drew the plan.

A three-level house that steps down a limestone slope. Each terrace roof becomes the garden of the room below.
Bluff House
A former warehouse floor reworked as one long room: plaster, white oak and a single tall window that sets the mood of the day.
Cesar Chavez Loft
A pool pavilion near the river: one thin roof, four steel columns and a stone wall that holds the afternoon heat away.
Pedernales Pavilion
A 1920s cottage kept as it is at the street, with a quiet timber addition behind it for the kitchen and a light-filled studio.

Read the site
We walk the land with you, track the sun and the wind, and listen to how you want to live. The result is a short brief and a clear budget frame.

Draw it together
Sketches, models and material samples on the table. Plans, interiors and lighting develop as one set, so the house and its rooms agree.

Build it right
We prepare permit drawings, choose the builder with you and stay on site through construction, down to the furniture and the last fixture.
